“I stand before you not as an expert but as concerned citizen.” is how Leonardo DiCaprio starts his speech at the opening of the UN Climate Summit 2014.
“As an actor I pretend for a living.” he continues.
“I pretend fictitious characters usually solving fictitious problems. I believe that mankind has looked at climate change in the same way. As if it were a fiction. As if pretending that climate change wasn’t real would somehow make it go away.”
There are no doubts anymore that climate change is real since a long time ago. There are countless facts proving this and we still turn our heads away.
Why?
Are we too scared to realize the consequences of our actions? Does it feel better for us to neglect this fact so we can continue living our “princess” lifestyles? Do we feel powerless maybe? Afraid? Could it be that we think it is already too late?
Those kind of thoughts will make it be too late. WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE! It is not too late yet! But it will be if we don’t accept this problem and then work together to clean our mess. We cannot afford to put it under the rug anymore! We must be better than that!
Mother Earth is our HOME! You are not American, Canadian, Swedish, Irish, Italian, French, Macedonian, Turkish, Chinese, Korean, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, White, Black, Yellow, Red, Young, Old, Rich, Poor, Owner or a Worker!
Before all that you are EARTHLING! You live on EARTH! You depend of EARTH!
If we don’t change what we do and how we think of ourselves, if we are not courageous enough to accept this fact and work all individually together on solving it EARTH will still keep on living! But we won’t!

I beg for all of humanity to face it with COURAGE and HONESTY. Accept the responsibility! Why deprive the next generations of the beauty EARTH offers? Why frown the faces of our children instead of see them smiling on the sunshine chasing butterflies upon the green grass?
Humanity still wants to live on EARTH! We still do! But we must prove to EARTH that we can clean our mistakes. This responsibility is on all our backs no matter who made the mess. We are all responsible for one another because we are all cells of this larger organism we call Humanity! We are one!

THINK EVERYDAY FOR 30 MIN OR 1 HOUR WAYS TO BENEFIT THE ECO SYSTEM!- LOVE!
- PARTICIPATE IN ECO GROUPS!
- BE HONEST AND COURAGEOUS!
- SHARE THE AWARENESS ONCE AGAIN SO THE LARGE COMPANIES UNDERSTAND!
- THINK OF YOUR OWN WAYS AND SHARE THEM WITH PEOPLE!
