If you have a sibling you know how irritating they can be sometimes. You know they are probably the only people in the world who can make you angriest in an instant.
But you also know that if there is someone in the world you would take a bullet for, it’s them. You know there is not a person in the world you would let harm them in any way.
We tease each other, make fun of each other, we get so insanely mad, but we love each other the most. This love between brothers and sisters is deeper than words can explain.
Lindsey Cochran was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and has been in a wheelchair since she was two years old. This prevents her from doing many activities children her age like to do, but she does not have a broken spirit.
Her mother, Tracy Cochran, wrote this in a blog post for Everyday Health: “She laughs often, cries little, and lives life to its fullest. She has been a blessing to so many, and God has richly taken our family down paths that have been hard, but have allowed us to grow in ways we would have never expected. Like Lindsay, we have learned to take life one day at a time.”
However, the bond Lindsey and her brother share is probably one of the purest bonds a human can have, the love between a brother and sister. I know this because I have a sister, 2 in fact, and I completely understand Trenton when he says “I would take a bullet for her.”
