There is a certain beauty in living alone that most people overlook.
Being alone often has a sad stigma attached to it, and people tend to miss on the real beauty that single life offers.
Having a space all for yourself; waking up and being free to roam around in your underwear; to turn on your favorite embarrassing playlist and dance like you really feel because nobody is watching; to stretch out on every available surface; to read, nap, eat, nap, repeat, without anyone judging you;
There is a SIGNIFICANT difference between being alone and being lonely, and more than 50% of the world population confuses these terms.
This is what makes most people underestimate the beauty of being alone.
Thankfully, there’s Mexico-based illustrator Idalia Candelas. She captures the subtle space between lonely and alone in her series “Postmodern Loneliness.”
