“We want to live by each other’s happiness not by each other’s misery!” — The Great Dictator
It’s easy to think that the whole world is against you. It really is. If just one little thing doesn’t go your way you think that people conspire against you.
We all do this. You can just go outside and you can see it on other people’s faces. They walk down the street with a fazed out look, overthinking about things, miserable.
We were taught to believe that everyone wants to take advantage over us. News and media preach this agenda every day.
But the truth is that we don’t hate each other. In fact, we might love each other just a little too much.
But we don’t want to accept this fact because we think it would make us vulnerable. We think loving others is naive and foolish. Yet, this is all our nature.
We love each other. We don’t want to harm one another, we want to see each other happy. Why do you think smiling is addictive?
Laughter, happiness and positivity is attractive. It’s what we cheer for. And it’s not our laughter, it’s other people’s laughter, other people’s happiness and positivity.
Why do you think we feel good when we help other people? We get the real reward when we help because we feel so good.
It’s because we want each other to be happy. By default we are all on the same team until ego and false beliefs separate us in different teams and opposing sides.
But we are all in the same boat. We are all citizens of planet earth and carriers of humanity’s flame. We are all followers of a religion of love.
You can best realize this when you watch the video below. It’s one of the best speeches and it’s from the movie “The Great Dictator” with Charlie Chaplin.
