Find Life Coach | Meet Andrea Splendori: How to Create a Personal Ecosystem for Goodness?

Andrea Splendori is one of the coaches we found and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his kindness and talent of seeing the realness in each human. Here is what he said.

Meet Life Coach Andrea Splendori:

Name: Andrea Splendori
Pillar: The Mind
Who is this coach for: For anyone who wants to improve their direction in life and create an environment for goodness.
How they can help: Finding their unmet basic needs, create environment for goodness and kindness, and apply the Control, Influence, Accept framework.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

We are doing well during these strange times. We have found a nice balance between work, outdoor and managing not to step on each other’s toes around the house.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

The pandemic has had an impact on most of my clients.

Whilst for many it has been very tough mentally, for other it has created a very interesting environment for reflection.

Taking stock of their lives is what has brought some of them to see me. Wanting to re evaluate their life’s meaning and purpose.

Not all of it has been negative, aside from the obvious tragedies that have come with the virus.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

Kindness.

A lot of distractions have been taken away and has left more space for kindness all around us.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I am a broadcaster and podcaster, and my shows are interview based conversations with a variety of guests from different walk of life.

Over the years, more and more of my guests would say at the end of the interviews “I have never said that to anyone else before and most certainly not in front of a microphone” or “I felt so relaxed, it was very easy to speak to you”.

That got me thinking…

This sounds like coaching!

I studied with a Kingstown College in Dublin, Ireland qualified and got accredited with EMCC, in the profess of getting an ICF qualification, and now working with individual and corporate clients.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

I have had a wonderful and simple upbringing that has taught me to be very aware of obstacles.

For that reason, whilst I have hit a few bumps along the way, nothing to serious or worth getting into details has happened.

My parents are what has made me who I am today and not just from the obvious biological point of view.

Alas, neither of them are around anymore, but I could never thank them enough for what they have given me that has made me who I am.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

My coaching approach stems from the simple belief that each one of us is a unique being, irreplaceable, never seen before, never to be seen again.

Given the variety of clients that I am working with, currently I am working with an athlete, an artist, a dietician and a few executives via a corporate client, my understanding of the human condition improves with every session allowing me to create a space that is as unique and specific to the situation.

This combined with my knowledge of tools and techniques that can be applied to each in different ways, creates a space for the client to thrive in.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

I see everyone in exactly the same light.

I don’t have any preconceived bias about anyone and that allows me to ask questions that go to the core of the human sitting across from me.

I genuinely believe in the “kindness of strangers” and the importance of by creating the right environment, good things will happen.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

An understanding of what their baseline needs are, what is truly important to them outside of they may have believed, or being made believe, their needs were. A honest and open look at themselves.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

I use a number of tools specific to the client’s needs and circumstances, but I find the simplest frameworks are what works best.

C.I.A. is one of my client’s favorite. Control, Influence, Accept… simple and effective.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

“There is a field behind right and wrong, I’ll meet you there” — Colum McCann.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

Be true to yourself. Always. Do not try to be anything else. It makes life so much easier and happier.

Your final thoughts?

I believe coaching is a wonderful way for each of us to do some positive soul searching.

I would love to see the profession being more recognized and regulated to give it the weight and kudos that it deserves.
