Find Life Coach | Meet Amy Mastrud: How to Balance Your Life?

1263

Amy Mastrud is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her balanced approach to coaching. It is rare that we have here a coach that can help with all 4 pillars (and we avoid approaching anyone who claims to be able to do that because it’s too broad). When you focus on everything you don’t really focus on anything, right? However, Amy is a different case. Why? Because she is using a secret power tool: a platform that comes with videos, worksheets, weekly sessions and community. She is your guide and support as you use the platform. You choose the goals that you need to tackle and she helps you get there. Here is what she said.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?

The Pandemic has created some amazing changes along with some not so good changes.

With that being said Iā€™ve learned that I am much stronger than I thought and the Pandemic has taught my family flexibility.

We have a choice to live life by default or to live life with purpose, this Pandemic has given me the opportunity in choosing to live life with purpose.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I feel the Pandemic has created even more of an urgency to help support and love on people more than ever.

I daily hear people say that they feel alone, depleted, hopeless and helpless.

After taking the 10 week program they are capable of handling situations with more ease.

As far as affecting me, it just gave me the push to want to help more.

With the Pandemic it has created some amazing new platforms to communicate to people from anywhere in the world.

Because of that I can happily maintain my support to my clients.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

I guess that I am capable of handling situations that are out of my control and that I have learned to incorporate flexibility into my life without fighting it.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I am a Certified Oola Life Coach that is also Green Gap certified.

My passion is to help pull other women forward to finding themselves and their purpose, this was stemmed from my own experiences.

In 2017 I had a mental breakdown and it brought me to a place of not knowing who I was or what my purpose was. I was completely lost and wanted more in life.

I was living life by default (autopilot) and in my gut, I knew that there had to be more.

I had heard of a life coach but had no idea what they did. I asked around and people told me that life coaching can be life changing. I knew that this was my answer.

When I actually took the steps to invest in myself and get a life coach it came with some guilt but also a relief. After my first session with my incredible coach, everything became clear that I made the right choice.

With Kristin and the platform, it was all about my needs and my goals, it was individualized and specific to me. It wasnā€™t her goals, they were mine. It definitely wasnā€™t a cookie cutter program.

Because of that, I found myself and became balanced. I became the best version of me!

I had boundaries, I had created quality relationships, I was becoming financially free of my debt and finally was given permission to enjoy life and not spend all my time working.

That feeling of finding myself and knowing that there was more to life made it very clear what my purpose in life was. It was to become a Life Coach.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

As I mentioned before, it probably was my mental breakdown.

I had a moment where I had to choose, should I continue life in a pity party knowing that the mental breakdown caused some brain trauma, or do I take this opportunity to move forward and possibly thrive.

You all know the answer, I took the road to thrive.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

When I get to be a coach to someone, it is all about them and their needs, wants and desires.

Iā€™m there to ask the right questions to pull the information they have in themselves. Itā€™s always in them.

Within the journey of creating a life they donā€™t want to go on vacation from, I get to support them by keeping them accountable for their goals and dreams. I encourage them to be their best possible self.

This is done by using a platform that comes with videos, worksheets, weekly sessions and community. We concentrate on one of the 7 Fā€™s of Oola each week by creating goals, then put them into place.

I believe that taking small steps every day are the milestones toward achieving big goals. And Iā€™m there as your accountability partner.

Whatā€™s unique about your coaching approach?

The Oola style of Coaching is unique as it targets life areas, not just one specific area. If we take inventory of our circumstances or our issues, itā€™s within one of the 7 Fā€™s of Oola, fitness, finances, family, field (an area you spend most of your time), faith (something bigger than you), friends and fun.

For example, it could be a bad marriage, weight could be an issue or you just hate your job, maybe a toxic family is causing issues.

Itā€™s about being balanced in these areas to create a happier healthier lifestyle. As a whole we as humans spend a lot of time focusing on one area of life and the other areas suffer, in return we feel out of sorts or out of balance.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

First and foremost a lifelong friendship.

Over 10 intensive weeks (transformation), you could begin to work on achieving outcomes like these:

1. Eliminate the crushing weight of debt.

2. Change careers and begin living your right livelihood.

3. Resolve toxic family situations.

4. Uplevel your circle of friends and enjoy quality time.

5. Add fun to your life with ā€œbucket listā€ adventures.

6. Retire early and pursue an ā€œencoreā€ vocation you love.

7. Get healthy, lose excess weight & focus on self care.

8. Start a charity or help causes you believe in.

9. Create the income to stay at home with your kids.

10. Discover your passions.

11. Find yourself.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

The Oola platform gives myself and the client the resources needed to create the life they are searching for.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

I believe in you, be you, you are worthy and create a life you donā€™t want to vacation from.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

Iā€™m worthy of being me!

Your final thoughts?

Life is too short to live without purpose and to be happy with the life you have been given. Choose to be you and create a legacy that you’re proud of. When you pass, what will people say about you?
