Anitta Corton is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with the depth of her coaching.
She helps people remove negative thought patterns and emotional blocks to align with the life they want to live, the goals they want to achieve become part of their identity.
Her approach helps her clients uncover what’s been sabotaging them from the depths of their subconscious mind, they feel less anxiety, they are less triggered by situations that used to bother them and aligned with what lights them up.
First, she finds what the client truly wants out of their life. Then, she clears the mental and emotional blocks to create a smooth path to live the life they love. Here is what she said.

Thanks for asking! It has been a roller coaster especially with two school age children.
I have been keeping positive with them and looking at learning new tasks, having more family time together as well as checking in with them throughout their day.
I ask them ‘what their challenges are’, ‘how they are feeling’ and ‘how their friends are doing’. It’s been great to see their resilience and ability to change with the times.
As well, pre-pandemic I had been athletic with doing Judo and Crossfit. But as the months went by, my home gym sat idle.
I created a challenge for myself to walk 10K steps everyday and used an app to keep track and find great walking routes. I coupled this with my love for photography and this has helped to have a feeling of accomplishment.
I found that there are more heightened emotions in my clients as well as uncertainty.
With this being something that I can help clients with, to process what they are feeling and to navigate these circumstances, I feel my training has prepared me for these times. Along with that, I have added more skills to be able to help my clients achieve better, long lasting results.
I lost a close family member due to heart failure during the pandemic and barely got a chance to see him during the 18 days he was in ICU.
I had to learn that with the things that are out of my control, I know that I did the best that I could with what I had.
I take time each day to allow whatever comes up around that loss, to acknowledge my feelings and thoughts so that they can be released and I have acceptance about the way things are.
I began back in 2008 with an energy therapy practice that helped people with anxiety, panic attacks and trauma using methods such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Theta Healing.
Over the years I have added coaching certifications, so that I am able to coach clients with mindset, negative thought patterns and balancing emotional reactions to achieve more stability and joy in their personal life and business.
The biggest obstacle that I’ve had to overcome from the past, is that I have been too much of a ‘people-pleaser’.
Being highly empathic and a healer, I have wanted to help people and come from a place of giving, but a time came when I had nothing left to give.
I had to learn to create boundaries and remain strong in beliefs in who I am and that it was time to put myself first.
When people didn’t understand the change in me, I endured the criticism, learned to let go and looked to find the people that I do resonate with and belong.
Along with being highly intuitive, I use questions as they arise to dig deeper into the source of core issues within the client that could be the reason why they are stuck moving forward at what they want to achieve.
My life experiences and challenges have been vast and so there is a lot to tap into. I also research and keep looking at a problem at hand from different angles to find a solution that works, keeping in mind that everyone is an individual and quite often, someone has tried many different methods over many years to shift a problem.
When we look at this together, I dig deep to find the right solution or therapy to shift the issue.
For the first half of the coaching session I discover what someone is truly aligned with that will light them up and bring them joy in life.
I take note of any negative thought patterns that could be causing resistance and keeping them stuck from moving forward. The client gives a number out of 10 that they feel is the intensity of the resistance of the beliefs, thoughts and emotions they have.
For the second half of the session, I look to uncover what could be lying in the subconscious.
For example, maybe they have feelings of being unworthy, insignificant, or not enough and that caused resistance or self sabotage to their dreams? Or perhaps being a perfectionist, a people pleaser, or having inner child wounds bring up fears to move forward. Are there core wounds or traumas caused from events, family history, inner conflicts or broken agreements?
I have a method that checks this and clears the intensity so that when checking back with the client at the end of the session, the resistance out of 10 has reduced or completely gone.
The client feels lighter, more emotionally balanced and they feel in alignment with this new person, that their goals are now a part of their new identity.
They are no longer triggered in situations that used to bother them and they feel less anxious and more joyful.
Many of the past tools that I have learned from (EFT) Emotional Freedom Techniques, Theta Healing, being a Reiki Master and more, are rolled into the coaching methods that I use from the Magnetic Mind Method and Mindvalley Certified Life Coach.
Life is a journey where the challenges and joy are enter-twined at every aspect, even if it seems one-sided.
To take the time for personal development and process difficult emotions or situations can leave a powerful impact that will change your life and all those connected to you, past, present and future.
That when I see recurring patterns in my life that have triggered me and caused reactions, I take the time to work through them, correcting the negative thought patterns and emotions until there is no more emotional charge.
After that, it seems I’ve ‘leveled up’ and feel more balanced in the way I look at life. The trigger doesn’t bother me and I see that life is happening for me, not just to me.
This leaves me to be at peace and happier, ready for the next challenge!
Life is so mysterious, and there is so much to learn.
I have worked hard to stay open to discovery of what can truly change lives, while keeping in mind that everyone is on their own journey of lessons learned as well.
