Ezekiel Harris is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his unique approach to coaching using tarot cards.
From being unsure of himself to becoming an ambassador of authenticity, Ezekiel makes sure his clients reconnect with their true authentic selves.
He was always more spiritually inclined and wanted to find a way how to use his passion and gifts to serving others. When he discovered life coaching everything clicked for him.
We can say with certainty that he is the first coach that we found, possibly first one in the world, that utilizes tarot as part of his coaching process to help people find their next step forward. Here is what he said.
Name: Ezekiel Harris
Pillar: The Spirit, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to find the next step of their spiritual journey and reconnect with pure love.
How they can help: By using coaching combined with tarot cards and continuous accountability.
My family and I are holding in there.
The virus has definitely done some damage to a few members of the family recently. However, we continue to hold each other up and are each others support system in the midst of all of the things happening in the world.
The pandemic hasn’t had a huge impact on my business since it is all electronically.
All of my sessions and readings are done through video chat so that my clients have the luxury of working with me from the comfort of their own home.
It’s okay to feel unmotivated. It is a valid emotion!
It’s more than okay to be “lazy” and not feel like doing things sometimes.
Listen to your body. If it’s not feeling up to something (or someone), trust that feeling.
You can’t always put other peoples wants and needs before your own. “Selfish” is a form of Self Love.
I am a self love coach and professional tarot and oracle card reader. A little about my background.
I am a recent graduate of my bachelor’s (2020) and Master’s (2021) in social work from UTK. During both programs, I struggled the most with trying to find out my niche and what I wanted to do with my degrees once I graduate.
During my sophomore year of my undergraduate program, I was introduced to spirituality and divination, or tarot. I knew from there that I wanted to have a more spiritual based career.
While the field of social work is very diverse and has many career options, spirituality isn’t really on that list of options. So I decided to carve my own path. I mean, why not?
So, fast forward to my last semester of graduate school, and I still did not know what I wanted to do after.
By that time, I had a couple hundred tarot readings under my belt and have started my own tarot business.
I can make accurate predictions all day about who your future spouse is and how you’ll meet, but what I focused the most on is how to prepare yourself for that relationship and attract that person into your life which is through self love.
I noticed that my style of reading was leaning much more into coaching, but at that time I had very little knowledge of what life coaching entailed nor had I even thought of it as an option.
I began to do tons of research on what life coaching is and how to become one.
A month before graduation, I happen to come upon a life coaching certificate program. I was immediately drawn to it and was happy that I had finally found a field that was aligned with my style of reading and it was something I could envision myself doing to help even more people.
While talking with my mentor, I realized that self love was my niche so I decided to become a self love coach to help others on their self love journey whether they are just starting or have been on for a while and need some direction.
I use the interpersonal skills that I have learned while in social work as well as the intuitive skills learned from practicing the art of tarot to create a unique coaching experience for my beautiful clients.
Let me start by saying I am not bashing religion at all. However, I grew up in a very christian family where I was taught on both a conscious and subconscious level what to believe and what’s acceptable or not.
Growing up as the black sheep or the “weird” kid, I felt like I couldn’t be myself because I grew to fear what others may say or think.
So I spent most of my life suppressing a lot of things about myself and allowing others to walk over me.
I always felt differently about the things and people the church considered “evil” and “wicked” and “wrong” but never spoke up about it. While they casted judgement on certain groups of people, I felt like those groups of people were just being themselves and I was inspired by that.
As I got older, my passion became to help as many people as I can who have gone through similar experiences and want to learn what it means to practice self love and self acceptance.
No one deserves to have to live their life suppressed and unhappy. Sometimes you just need someone to encourage yourself to keep going and to put yourself first no matter who you make upset or have to walk away from.
To my knowledge there aren’t many coaching who uses tarot as a tool for their coaching.
I’ve seen therapist who use tarot in their sessions. I have even come across coaches that read tarot, but don’t use it as a coaching tool.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I would like to think that I’m amongst the first to do so and pave the way for those who are spiritually gifted like myself but not sure how to use it.
I also utilize tarot spreads, meditations, and affirmations along with “homework” for my clients to continue the healing process even after the coaching session.
My coaching sessions include the use of tarot and oracle cards.
I use a life coach oracle deck to pull a topic to start with for the session with the client. I use tarot cards during the session when needed to get a deeper dive into the subconscious since tarot is a mirror to the person being read.
This combo is unique because it combines life coaching with spirituality and divination creating a powerful and effective coaching experience for my clients.
My clients are reintroduced to the part of themselves that they have forgotten or put to the side. The direct benefit of this is becoming more in touch with yourself and the energy of pure love. Through this energy of love you can manifest what you desire as well as have the confidence to do so.
You also gain an accountability partner (ME!) Who will ensure that you are staying on track and being consistent.
Your self love journey is a life long process. The 8 to 12 weeks that you spend with me as your coach is just the beginning. Be certain that you will always have me as a support system when you need it.
In addition to the support, I am currently working on making certificates as well as goodbye gifts to send to my clients upon completion of their coaching with me. I hope to have that running by this summer.
I use the art of tarot and oracle cards.
A tarot deck is comprised of 78 cards. 22 are the major arcana which depicts where a person is on there spiritual journey starting with The Fool (representing embarking on a new journey and taking risks) and ending with The World (representing completion of a cycle or journey).
The other 56 are the minor arcana which are split in 4 suits: wands (represents passion and drive), cups (represents emotions and feelings), swords (represents thoughts and mentality), and pentacles (representing stability and the material).
Tarot is not something to fear. It is just a mirror of your subconscious and using it to bring the information up so you can deal with it. Oracle cards are similar except that they are more straight forward and offer an overall energy.
I use a specific deck called the Life Coach Oracle Deck. I use that to pull a card in each session for a topic to focus more on.
BE YOURSELF!
It’s okay to be yourself. What others think or say about your authentic self is none of your business, quite frankly.
Allow people to judge and hate on you all they want. It still does not change the fact that you are being your best self and it takes strong people to be brave enough to do so.
Continue to shine your light because you never know who you will inspire.
You have no love to give to others if you don’t have that same love and respect for yourself.
Self love isn’t an easy journey, but it is a very rewarding one.
It’s all about being committed to it and be willing to shift from a fixed to a growth mindset.
I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to shed light on my business and give you all just a sneak peak into my world.
No I am not a devil worshipper, and no I do not eat children, or whatever the fairytales say. I am simply a loving soul wanting to help other souls to get back in touch with themselves through the practice of self love.
With patience and positivity anyone can be successful on this journey of self love.
