Sarah Heaton is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her experience.
Throughout all her life she had a passion to be a coach and help people reconnect to themselves.
Her interest in Spirituality and energy work guided her to not just get a coaching diploma, start her own business, but also keep upgrading her vast toolkit just so she can help her clients better.
She likes to work intuitively with each client because she believes we are all different and need a different approach. Here is what she said.
Name: Sarah Heaton
Pillar: The Spirit, The Heart
Who is this coach for: Anyone who feels they need to reconnect with their real Self.
How they can help: Intuitive guidance, using various techniques like Wheel of Life, reiki healing, EFT, NLP, mindfulness, meditation, visualisation, and breathwork, just to name a few.
Thankfully, we are all doing well!
I did find it quite isolating at times but working full time and studying in my spare time, and then starting, building my business created a great distraction.
Most of my clients (and me) struggled with the isolation.
Not seeing others really took its toll and they became more anxious and felt low.
However, it was also a catalyst for coming out of autopilot and waking up to the fact that their lives no longer served them.
They came to me when they felt really lost and needed direction.
The real meaning of ‘we are all in the same storm but in different boats’.
Everyone’s experience of the pandemic was different, so it increased my awareness and empathy as well as the importance of not making any assumptions about others based on my perception and experience.
I was already aware of that, but it was sharpened throughout the pandemic.
I have always had an interest in spirituality, energy work and healing, and although I did my Reiki 1 and 2 when I was 18 or 19, my life took another direction and I settled into a different career.
However, I burnt out badly a few years ago and woke up one day realising that I was repeating lots of different patterns in my life.
I was making myself miserable!
In my search for answers, I stumbled across a coaching programme that changed my life and my interests in spirituality, healing, psychology and neuroscience exploded.
When I began to realise that I really wanted to help others in the same way, my coaching diploma, other courses, and new people suddenly popped up in my life and it felt like the right path to pursue.
It is a real privilege to help others in this way and be part of their journeys.
Me!
I have struggled with depression throughout my life (since I was 5 years old) and as a result kept repeating patterns that no longer served me.
There was a lot of unlearning to do!
This is a lifelong journey, so I have learned to start enjoying going deeper with myself, becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable, and leaning more into my intuition and sense of self.
One of the things I love about coaching is you don’t know where the session will lead.
As someone who works intuitively, I am really open to this and to using whatever tools necessary in the moment.
I like to meet people where they are at that particular time.
I am fascinated by the body and mind connection and like to work intuitively and holistically with my clients.
As a mindfulness teacher, I also like to work on this with my clients to help them become calmer and more present.
Everything in our lives is connected so I like to look at the whole person, not just one aspect of their lives, as quite often the same patterns show up in all areas of their lives.
Increased sense of calm, more confidence, being more present in their lives, and understanding themselves at a deeper level.
I work intuitively with my clients and whatever is coming up for them in the moment.
However, I like to use traditional coaching techniques and a range of paper exercises (Wheel of Life, Values etc) as well as reiki healing, EFT (emotional freedom technique), NLP (neuro linguistic programming), mindfulness, meditation, visualisation, and breathwork.
When you are feeling lost, stuck, afraid and directionless, know that all the answers are inside you.
When you reconnect to you, you are reconnecting to your intuition, your power and your freedom.
That no matter what happens, things work out and that I am looked after by The Universe.
Everything that happens to us is an opportunity to learn.
Healing is a spiral and you may come back to the same themes again but at deeper levels each time.
Know that true change takes time so be kind to yourself and the journey you are on.
Nourish yourself in every way as much as you can, have the courage to face what is lying underneath your patterns and use the tools you learn regularly.
