Kevin Thornton is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with him. He impressed us with his dedication and experience.
He loves working with clients helping them find more clarity in their life through introspection.
But he is not using the boring every day approach most coaches use. He creates different assignments unique to each client that help them find out more of who they are and what they really want out of life.
His life coaching career starts interesting and similar like the one of a famous superhero, right after he was bit by a poisonous spider. Here is what he said.
Name: Kevin Thornton
Pillar: The Mind
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to get more clarity in their life.
How they can help: By giving different assignments customized to the individual to help them introspect within a safe environment.
My family and I are doing well during this time of the pandemic.
It made us closer cars a unit and it was a time for me to reflect and renew myself.
It affected my clients a lot cause most didn’t like being alone and it caused depression.
I advised this was their chance to reflect on who they are because they never had this much free and quiet time.
It didn’t affect me at all, it more so helped me in my journey of building my business.
To check in on your strong friends and family cause they are ones that suffer in silence.
I became a life coach in 2012 and the journey started in 2011 when I heard Iyanla Vazant, a spiritual life coach offer a free 9 week life coaching session to the first 100 men who email her.
That experience helped heal me but also showed me what my divine assignment was.
Once completed I got my masters degree in organizational psychology and was certified in coaching shortly after.
I was bitten by a poisonous spider and was in the hospital for a month and had no access to family or friends.
The bite caused me not to be able to teach spin classes, it was time for me and God to have conversations on focusing my life on life coaching and not as much on the fitness end.
It also taught me to not ask why me but what is the lesson to learn from this experience.
I innovate my clients by giving them assignments that make them be introspective but more importantly creating a safe space for them to be vulnerable.
I tend to create a group text for my clients and I send them morning inspiration to help set the tone for their day.
Benefit they receive after working with me is clarity of who they are and where they want to go in life.
Clarity of knowing that who they are is and always will be enough.
I just use google to help me stay efficient.
Stop asking for permission to be great and just be great unapologetically and on purpose.
Greatest lesson I learned in life is to be unapologetically me.
We tend to be everything but who we truly are in order to please others and once you know that who you are is enough then you you will attract the right tribe for you.
2022 is the year of change, take this opportunity to create the life you want for yourself.
Know everything is possible if your faith and action are in alignment.
Walk in your greatness and don’t wait for anyone to give you permission to do so.
Greatness is yours.
