Sue Hedley is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her expertise and dedication.
She has been coaching and mentoring teams and individuals for over 25 years. When she was 50 years old she discovered the power of life coaching and set up her practice.
She had a very traumatic childhood that left her with negative self beliefs that were the biggest obstacles in her life.
Now, she focuses on helping as many people as she can to find and remove their negative self beliefs, find confidence and live their best life. Here is what she said.
Meet Life Coach Sue Hedley:

Pillar: The Spirit
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to find and remove their limiting self beliefs, find confidence and live their best life.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these Pandemic times?
Thank you for asking.
We are all doing well.
Now that the pandemic has settled down into something we live with, itās wonderful to be able to spend quality time together again and see old and dear friends we missed.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
It has affected my clients and me.
Some clients have found it hard to get their motivation back to pre pandemic levels.
Some feel lost, like they donāt know what is important anymore.
The pandemic has changed all of us to some extent and that can feel uncomfortable.
I believe itās important to avoid looking backwards and comparing with who you used to be.
Start afresh in the here and now and accept that you have changed.
The coronavirus highlighted for me the value of having time to be in the moment and enjoy simple things, nature, family, peace.
It helped me to figure out who I wanted to coach and what I had to offer, because I had the time to reflect.
Most importantly it taught me that we never know what is round the corner, so if you know what your dream is, admit it and find a way to make it happen.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
That you can be happy with what you have, right here, right now.
Not to keep putting off feeling happy.
We tend to externalise being happy and confident.
Iāll be happy whenā¦ Iāll feel confident ifā¦ in fact, the trick is to feel those things in the now.
Build them with what you already have inside of you.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
Iāve been coaching and mentoring individuals and teams for 25+ years.
Starting when I worked on global IT projects and then since 2019 recently as a certified and professionally accredited coach.
When I was in my 50s I was very stressed and as a result found out about life coaching.
This started my new journey.
I retrained and set up my coaching practise.
I have kept on learning and now use both NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and hypnotherapy as part of my coaching toolbox.
Iām 62 now and on a mission to help as many people as possible.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
My own limiting self belief that I wasnāt good enough to succeed.
I had a fairly traumatic childhood which left me with some negative self beliefs I needed to deal with before I could feel confident.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
First of all I coach based on my own life experience.Ā
I show ladies who are 45+ that work related stress and a change in life circumstances is a great motivator for change.
My coaching is client centric.
Focusing on who you are now, what your values are, how you keep yourself stuck and of course what your future looks like.
The process I use focuses on giving my clients the courage to unlock their dream and the mindset and confidence to make it a reality.
As I say I have walked in their shoes so I know the internal and external challenges they face on their journey.
Whatās unique about your coaching approach?
I incorporate NLP and hypnotherapy into my coaching, uniquely blending them for each client.
I focus on finding and removing limiting self beliefs because these are the biggest barriers we face. I know this from my own journey.
I give my clients a toolbox of techniques that they can use again and again, helping them live their lives differently.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
1. They learn to listen to and trust their inner voice (their inner wisdom if you like).
2. They learn the art of feeling confident.
3. They stop feeling guilty about looking after themselves.
4. They learn to recognise when they are holding themselves back and use the tools, Iāve shared with them to work through it.
5. They start living the life they dreamed of. Itās addictive.

We want to take the overwhelm out of what is a challenging time and get you on the path to success.
Our first free seminar is at 12am on the 17th of March.
Email [email protected] to register for our first seminar.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
I have a range of tools in my confidence coaching toolbox.
I use NLP techniques and hypnotherapy, as well as growth and transformation life coaching.
I am independently accredited with the IAPC&M and the CMA.
Which means I have access to ongoing CPD (continuing professional development) and learning.
These organisations are valuable tools in my toolbox, to reassure my clients that I take the business of coaching very seriously and to help me constantly improve.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Remember confidence and happiness come from the inside, not from what other people think of you, or what material goods you have.
Spend time with people who build you up.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
Loving and being loved will change your life.
That includes loving yourself.
Your final thoughts?
There are many coaches out there.
Find a coach who is trained, independently accredited, and insured, so you know you are in safe hands.
Find a coach who is all those things above and who has experienced where you are now.
If theyāve walked in your shoes, you will get better coaching.
Talk to me if you are a professional female, 45+ and fed up with feeling stressed, dissatisfied, and/or confused.
Iāll help you unlock that hidden dream, dust it off and start making it a reality.
Someone helped me when I was so low and needed it.
Iād love to help anyone out there reading this who needs help now.
Donāt be nervous.
Just get in touch and weāll have a free, no strings chat.
Letās start exploring together.
