First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?
Coming though the pandemic has been a unique learning experience personally and as a family of small business owners.
We had one of our businesses shut down during the pandemic due to it being a non essential business in the beauty and wellness community.
This was difficult for us because we had a large portion of income that was not accessible for a time.
This allowed the opportunity to look at our experience from an open and creative energy to find workable solutions from an abundance mindset.
When I look back at this experience, I am grateful that we had an opportunity to grow in this way.
How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
I have quite a few younger clients that have never experienced life the way that I did when I was young.
There has been an uptick in âexistential anxietyâ.
This was a term I heard frequently from clients in the millennials and gen z groups.
I remember discussing hope for a better future with my own son shortly after the pandemic was at its worst.
Iâve also noticed that the pandemic brought about thoughts of what many wanted to do with their lives.
Questions about life paths, and personal dreams came to the surface in a way that I had not heard expressed before.
Iâm grateful that so many used this as an opportunity to wake up to their dreams and goals in this way.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
I am learning and have learned to be more fluid, like water.
Every time I would try to hold onto something with a stiff knuckle grip it was typically removed, or things began to change in a way that I could not control.
I often laugh at this these days and say, âI will enjoy this walk for nowâ.
I love to sit by the water or the ocean and observe how it does not resist, it just goesâŠ
This is my universal reminder of how to move through this life and find acceptance that leads to more peace.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
Iâve had the privilege of working with people over the years in various businesses.
I enjoy working with my human family and moving through perceived challenges towards evolution and growth.
My husband and I had a business that we worked on together for about 10yrs.
It paid the bills, but it also ended in burnout and a general feeling of not being fully on my lifepath.
After working from home for a time, I decided to return to school and work on my certifications for coaching and energy work.
This was the best decision I could have made!
It feels great to be doing what I love every day.
This also led to a lot of personal breakthroughs along with helping others.
I now have a lovely healing center that draws some of the most amazing coaches, practitioners, and clients.
All of us holding an energy towards growth, connection, and healing.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
Definitely, my own core beliefs.
This was the most difficult mountain to climb because I had to battle with my own beliefs, with a part of myself.
In allowing myself to be challenged with new thoughts and ways of looking at things, I was able to create a new energy in my life that helped me to draw more of what I wanted and less of the other stuff.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
My personal approach is integrated, holistic health and wellness.
Looking at a being on multiple levels allows me the ability to offer different options or ways to approach whatever they are feeling needs to shift in their life.
Whether this is emotional, health related, connective, spiritual, career or goal oriented, etc.
I have experienced with myself and with clients that âan issue of misalignmentâ will typically appear on more than one level in a personâs life.
If we only address one area of an entire being, we might miss a root issue that is causing the problem to continually resurface in their life.
Whatâs unique about your coaching approach?
I personally work with several modalities to assist my clients move towards healing.
Some of these include cognitive and dialectic behavioral techniques, (MSC) or Mindful Self Compassion, (NLP) Neuro Linguistic Programming, reiki and ancestral energy work, interactive self healing workshops, and onsite healing retreats.
I have found that using these tools together has helped clients to learn new healing concepts, and how to activate healing regardless of the issue.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
I am grateful that the new healing center has opened (January of 2023).
Clients that are local to the area can access on site self help workshops, a rejuvenation room with massage, yoga mats, books, and snacks while at the center.
For those that are virtual, we have online self help retreats and workshops, online access to reiki, meditation, life coaching and therapeutic services.
Clients have an opportunity to become part of a healing community with other clients and coaches of like mind.
A sense of connection and community that is always there for them when support is needed.
We also feature yearly retreats in exciting locations that clients can sign up for!
They can join these energy based retreats, travel and make new friends.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
I utilize a personalized approach for each client to determine key areas of focus for their goals.
After these are determined, I will suggest processes that I believe will be beneficial for addressing their healing or alignment goals.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
Everyone needs support, you are not alone!
Ask yourself, when was the last time that you did something really healing for yourself?
If you have been feeling stuck, or like you are going in circles in your life, life coaching can help you.
Working with a coach will give you new tools for better results in your life, now.
I often think about this in my own life, âWhere would I be if I had not worked with a life coach many years ago?â
Iâm grateful that I did.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
The greatest lesson is that we are all connected, and we need each other.
This can be a difficult truth to accept when there are old feelings of distrust, fear of vulnerability and betrayal.
If we can allow these root issues to come up to be healed, there can be great joy in human connection.
Your final thoughts?
Iâm happy to see life coaches of all kinds offer an amazing variety of tools and techniques to assist.
I can feel a shift in awareness as people are looking at functional medicine, life coaching, integrated health, and wellness along with allopathic methods.
I believe that mental, physical, and spiritual health and wellness are entering a new stage where we will see more of a blend of holistic and traditional medicine.
Life coaches are on the cutting edge of a new ideology on mental health and wellness.
Iâm proud to be on the frontlines of this new era!
