Find Life Coach | Meet Kristine Best: How to Become a Master of Your Own Wellness?

Kristine Best is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her passion, talent, and fun personality.

Her journey is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the power of the human spirit. From healing herself of asthma at the tender age of 10 to overcoming monumental life challenges including sexual abuse, homelessness, and starting a new career at 63, her path was far from easy. However, that’s what shaped her into the coach she is today.

Her expertise is undeniable. With over four decades of experience in health and wellness, she has dedicated her life to helping others master their well being, combining empathy, creativity, and a deep understanding of the root causes behind her clients’ challenges.

Her unique approach integrates a lifetime of lessons, keen intuition, and even music to uplift spirits and reinforce positivity. By meeting each client without judgment or assumptions, she uncovers innovative solutions that lead to lasting mental and physical transformation. Here is what she said…

Meet Life Coach Kristine Best:

Name: Kristine Best

Pillar: The Mind, The Body

Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to improve their mental and physical health and become a master of their own wellness.

How they can help: By using various tools and techniques as well as intuition, her kindness and her music instruments.

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

Since the pandemic, my son got married, I became homeless, my mother died to join her beloved husband, and I have pursued my love of music as a singer songwriter which brought me back to my passion of wellness (I closed the doors on my wellness business 20 years earlier).

I’ve built my music and wellness business with even bigger goals than I had before.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I wasn’t coaching during that time.

However, I was a radio presenter.

I found the pandemic times challenging to say the least, but I found ways to cope.

I shared various coping strategies during my shows knowing that many people would be struggling more than me.

I kept my show content interesting and informative and selected upbeat music for airplay.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

  1. Keep physically active.
  2. List projects and systematically complete them.
  3. Learn a new skill. I did a course to play lead on my guitar.
  4. Stay in touch with friends and family.
  5. Help others.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

I started helping people with health and well being in 1980.

I ran my natural remedies and injury rehabilitation business for 20 years in Sydney, Australia.

My wellness journey started at 7 when I read in an encyclopaedia about blood and it’s roles in the body.

I healed myself from asthma at age 10.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

Several monumental obstacles made me who I am today.

  1. Being raped as a teenager.
  2. Later being in a relationship with a controlling, threatening, psychopathic, narcissist.
  3. Embarking on a new career at 63.
  4. Becoming homeless at 67.
  5. Building my music and wellness career and staying focused, while living out of a room in a friends home.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

Innovation comes from understanding my client’s problem and their needs without and going into the conversation unecumbered… no judgement, no assumptions, no preconceived ideas… but using my observation and investigation skills to uncover the root cause(s) if their problem(s).

I let my curiosity, creativity, innovation and desire to help, work together to achieve good outcomes.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My lifetime of experience and lessons help me understand clients and their needs, to have empathy and perception and to know how to serve my client effectively and efficiently.

My inspirational songs add a valuable component to coaching and speaking to reinforce positivity and uplift spirits.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

  1. Transformational mental and physical health.
  2. Strategies and empowerment to be the master of their own wellness.
  3. Continued support as needed.
  4. Better quality of life.
  5. A life of possibility and opportunity.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

My heart, mind, insight, intuition, curiosity, my voice, smile and my music instruments.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Discover your heart’s desire, live your life’s purpose, be who you were meant to be, and love and value yourself and others.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

  1. Life be in it.
  2. Get a goal and pursue it.
  3. Life buffs off our rough edges to reveal the gem within. We all are gems but our sparkle and shine become more brilliant as we age.
  4. The only way you are past your use by date, is if you think you are, or you let the expectations of others limit you. You just keep writing a new chapter.
  5. Contribution to bigger than self causes and leave a legacy.

Your final thoughts?

Health and well being are more than nutrition and exercise.

Wellness includes spirituality, family, social interaction, self development and growth, contribution and purpose.

The body is made to heal itself.

It just needs the right circumstances.

The earlier we provide them, the better you will be.

To be good at wellness, you must learn how.
