Linda Mazza is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her wisdom and positive energy.
She is a semi retired Executive Coach with over 26 years of experience and a proud member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Her journey began not with a traditional career path but rather through a profound personal awakening inspired by her mother’s wisdom. It’s funny how one moment, one sentence, one wise quote can make you wake up and change the direction of your life.
She embraced her own struggles with people pleasing, and turned her whole life around by pursuing coaching, and eventually founding Inner Strength Coaching. Her mission has become clear: to create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their true selves and unlock their potential.
She has an innovative coaching style that is deeply rooted in spirituality and empathy. By fostering a safe space for her clients, she adeptly listens for the unspoken truths and empowers them to tap into their inner guidance. Her unique approach transcends typical coaching methods, enabling clients to harness their strengths and live fulfilling lives from the inside out. Here is what she said.
Meet Life Coach Linda Mazza:
Name: Linda Mazza
Pillar: The Spirit
Who is this coach for: Anyone who wants to connect with their greatest self.
How they can help: Through active listening, creating a safe environment for transformation, asking thought provoking questions, and spiritual guidance.
First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?
My family and I are doing great.
The pandemic was a time for reflection and being with my immediate family.
We took walks and shopped for our older family, who could not go out.
How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?
The Pandemic was tough to overcome, and many clients had to dig deep to discover the courage and resilience.
We worked on Zoom, and because most of them worked from home, it was easy for them to keep their appointments.
What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?
One of the biggest lessons I learned during the pandemic was to be patient, kind, and respectful of everyone’s beliefs.
I learned to go within more and trust in my inner guidance.
At first, I felt like my husband and I needed to wear masks, and my husband did not feel the same way, which was scary to me.
Luckily, we did not get the virus during the initial pandemic.
I learned that always doing things and being busy was not a way to be.
I slowed down a lot, took long walks, and got reacquainted with my husband, and together, we got through it.
The Origin:
Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?
I ended up hiring her, and we coached together for a year.
I then, enrolled in Life Coaching School (Coach for Life) and got certified in 2000.
Since then, I worked at a company for 26 years as an AR Credit and Collections Manager and Executive Life Coach.
I started my own business, Inner Strength Coaching, and have been coaching ever since.
Although I am semi retired, I still coach clients, I create and present empowering workshops to local libraries and non profit organizations.
I firmly believe that everyone is whole and has solutions to anything they want to do if given the right environment to be heard and explore their possibilities.
What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was the need to be true to myself.
For most of my life, I was a professional people pleaser.
Growing up in an Italian home, my mother was my master teacher.
I loved her dearly, but I knew she was unhappy.. she had spent her whole life people pleasing.
One day, when she was in her 70s, she sat me down and said, ‘Linda, find out who you are and follow your truth. I was not strong enough to do that, but you are!’
At that moment, I realized I didn’t even know where to start.
A friend then gave me a book called “The Power Is Within You” by Louise Hay, and that was the beginning of my journey to finding my authentic self.
The Coaching Style:
How do you innovate with coaching your clients?
I innovate with my clients by creating a safe, trusted environment where they feel comfortable sharing.
I listen intently, particularly for the unspoken words, and ask thought provoking questions.
By listening attentively, I guide them to discover their strengths, core values, talents, and gifts, enabling them to begin living a rich and fulfilled life.
What’s unique about your coaching approach?
My approach is spiritual.
I believe that everyone is complete in their higher nature, and I guide my clients to trust that part of themselves, encouraging them to tap into that nature as often as possible.
What benefits do your clients get after working with you?
My clients are happy individuals who continue to use the tools they have discovered to solve problems and find the answers they seek.
I believe there is a higher power present during our calls, and the process isn’t solely about working with me, it’s about connecting with their inner guide.
Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?
I feel myself as a guide who helps people to connect with their true nature, strengths, unique gifts, and talents, enabling them to live a rich and fulfilled life regardless of what is happening around them.
Fulfillment, contentment, peace, and happiness come from within.
The Impact:
If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?
You are a spark of God, and you are loved, worthy, and enough.
You have a choice to BE and DO your best in any given situation.
What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?
The greatest lesson I learned is that we all have a choice…
Specifically, a choice about how to think and feel.
That choice significantly impacts our feelings and actions.
I used to blame others for my unhappiness, but I came to realize that happiness is indeed a choice.
Furthermore, success begins within.
Tapping into our inner strengths is the first step toward achieving any outer goal.
Your final thoughts?
Nothing to add.
