Olga Chernyavska is one of the coaches that we found this month and we did a little interview with her. She impressed us with her expertise and professionalism.

She created a multidimensional approach that addresses the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of life. Her foundation lies in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and advanced training in Anthroposophic Psychotherapy. And interestingly enough, her journey began with a fascination for the impact of family and ancestral support, driving her to offer tailored guidance to those who felt its absence.

She has a unique approach to coaching. What sets her apart is her innovative integration of mind centered therapies, body based practices, and trauma focused techniques. By fostering self awareness and resilience, she empowers her clients to overcome anxiety, trauma, and burnout while achieving balance and fulfillment.

She offers her clients much more than therapy. Whether through weekly sessions for steady growth or intensive programs for rapid transformation, she offers a safe and supportive space for healing and self discovery. Here is what she said…

First of all, how are you and your family doing after these Pandemic times?

My family and I are doing well, thank you.

How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your clients? Did it affect you at all?

I transitioned to offering therapy online during the pandemic, a format I continue to use today.

This change provided increased flexibility for both myself and my clients, allowing us to adapt to the challenges of the time.

What are the biggest lessons that you learned in this pandemic?

The pandemic highlighted the benefits of online sessions for my clients.

This format saves time and money by eliminating the need for travel and parking while also offering greater accessibility, especially for individuals with mobility challenges.

Clients value the comfort and privacy of their own homes, which often helps them feel more at ease and open during sessions.

Additionally, online therapy makes it easier to integrate sessions into their schedules, allowing them to prioritise their mental health more consistently.

The Origin:

Tell us about you, your career, how you started with your coaching career?

While studying for my BSc in Psychology, I became deeply aware of the profound influence that family and ancestral support have on our lives.

This inspired me to help individuals who may not have received enough of this guidance and support.

I pursued and qualified as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, which marked the beginning of my journey as a therapist.

During my training, I developed a strong interest in the interplay between the mind and body, which motivated me to delve deeper into holistic therapy.

I completed post qualifying training in Anthroposophic Psychotherapy, a practice that addresses the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of a person’s well being.

This interdisciplinary approach encourages collaboration with other professionals, such as medical practitioners, to create unified treatment plans tailored to each individual.

Additionally, I trained as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher, learning techniques that harmonise thoughts, emotions, and feelings to promote psychological well being.

Today, I integrate these diverse therapeutic approaches to support clients on their holistic healing journeys, specialising in helping those who struggle with anxiety, worry, and trauma.

What was your biggest obstacle that you had to overcome in your life that made you who you are today?

In my professional journey, the greatest challenge has been understanding how to tailor therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

This required not only learning a wide range of therapeutic methods but also developing the ability to adapt them effectively to different personalities, challenges, and goals.

The positive outcomes and transformations my clients experience are evidence that I am succeeding in this approach.

The Coaching Style:

How do you innovate with coaching your clients?

During my training in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, I learned to blend various therapeutic modalities to adapt to each client’s needs.

My subsequent training in Anthroposophic Psychotherapy allowed me to expand this approach, addressing mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual dimensions of well being.

This holistic perspective recognizes the interconnectedness of various aspects of a person’s life and health.

I welcome collaboration with other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans.

My therapy integrates mind centered techniques to uncover thought patterns that impact emotional well being and body centered therapies to address physical and somatic processes.

By encouraging clients to explore and understand their unique experiences, I help them discover the methods and approaches that resonate most with them.

What’s unique about your coaching approach?

My holistic perspective enables to restore balance in all aspects of human life.

My expertise in a wide range of therapies allows me to select the ‘best fit’ method for each client.

My mind body approach is a dual process designed to provide clarity and relief on both psychological and physical levels.

Mind centered therapies address thoughts and emotions, while body centered and mind body therapies target physical processes, which are especially beneficial in trauma recovery.

My approach is gentle yet effective, especially when working with pre verbal trauma, which can make it difficult for clients to articulate their experiences.

By combining therapeutic modalities, I support clients in accessing and healing deep seated difficulties within a safe and empowering environment.

What benefits do your clients get after working with you?

Clients often begin by developing greater self awareness, learning to understand and accept their current resources (skills, abilities, personalities) while practising new strategies for self regulation, self care, and self respect.

These skills build competence and resilience, which are crucial during challenging times.

Through therapy, clients often gain clarity about their boundaries, understanding what is acceptable and what isn’t in their lives.

For those ready to work on a deeper level, we work through trauma and release challenging emotions.

The ultimate goal is to help clients lead healthier, happier lives.

For some, this means building fulfilling relationships… for others, it could involve creating meaningful careers or discovering a renewed sense of purpose.

Who are the people you help?

My services include weekly therapy sessions for consistent, long term growth and intensive therapy options for those seeking fast, focused change.

Both options help clients overcome challenges, achieve balance, and lead healthier, happier lives.

Generally, clients who prioritise others often prefer the steady pace of weekly therapy, allowing them to incorporate self care into their regular routine.

On the other hand, clients with perfectionist tendencies or demanding schedules may find the intensive therapy option better suited to their needs.

1. Weekly Therapy Sessions (50 minutes each):

I often work with compassionate, responsible individuals who dedicate themselves to helping others.

These clients may feel unappreciated, unheard, or guilty for prioritising their own needs, leading to frustration, resentment, and burnout.

My therapy helps them build self esteem, develop confidence, and create a healthy balance between caring for others and nurturing their own well being, without guilt or sacrifice.

2. Intensive Therapy (2 sessions daily for 6 consecutive days):

For busy, high achieving individuals, I offer an intensive therapy option tailored to those driven by ambition but often struggling with burnout and the pressures of perfectionism.

The relentless pursuit of success and fear of failure can leave little time to relax or enjoy the present.

This focused, fast paced option provides a faster path to transformation.

Clients identify actionable steps to address patterns that hinder their well being, creating space for balance and fulfilment.

Ideal for those seeking meaningful changes right now.

Do you use any specific tools to be efficient with your clients?

As a holistic therapist, I integrate tools from a variety of therapeutic approaches to create personalised therapy experiences.

Mind centered therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt Therapy, Positive Psychology, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Psychodynamic Therapy, help clients change their thinking, enabling them to view situations from new perspectives and respond in more effective and productive ways.

For body centered work, I incorporate yoga to deepen the mind and body connection, release tension from the body, and promote calm and grounding.

I also draw from mind body therapies that bridge mental and physical approaches, particularly effective in trauma recovery.

These include Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Anthroposophic Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, all of which are beneficial for helping individuals process and heal from trauma, including pre verbal trauma.

The Impact:

If you had a super megaphone that, when you speak into, the whole world will hear your message, what would you say?

Take time to connect with yourself, mind, body, and spirit.

You are worthy of healing, peace, and happiness.

Embrace your uniqueness, honour all aspects of your being, and treasure yourself.

When you continuously accept and nurture your true self, you’ll find the strength to overcome any challenges life presents.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned in your life?

There is always room to grow and learn beyond perceived limitations.

Growth can take two forms: going wide and going deep.

In therapy, going wide means learning diverse approaches to accommodate a variety of clients’ unique needs, enabling tailored care for different personalities and issues.

Going deep involves studying how specific therapeutic methods can effectively address even the most complex situations.

Balancing these two aspects has been invaluable in my journey as a therapist.

Your final thoughts?

I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support my clients as they embrace self acceptance, break through barriers, and build lives that are healthier, both psychologically and physically, and ultimately happier.

Each person’s journey is unique, and I am honoured to walk alongside them as they discover their inner strength and resilience.
